In 2006, the Miami Heat brought home the NBA Championship. In the past couple of years, the Heat has undergone major turning points renewing the team's spirit. Dwayne Wade continues to be the star player after winning rookie of the year.

The American Airlines Arena, home of the Miami Heat is located in downtown Miami on Biscayne Boulevard right on the scenic Biscayne Bay. If you're looking to watch a Miami Heat game, you can get to the American Airlines by car by taking I-95 north and get off exit 2A, or exit 5 if southbound. You can also take the Metrorail train to Government Center, make a transfer to MetroMover and get off the Freedom Tower Station which is right next to the arena.

Tickets for Miami Heat games at the American Airlines Arena can vary in price depending on the seat and the game. Unfortunately there don't seem to be any special discounts for seniors, students and military online, but a good way to try to get these discounts would be to take your ID into the arena's box office when purchasing your ticket and asking for them.
