The Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts is the largest performing arts center to be built in the United States in the past three decades. It offers shows and performances all year long and adds events to its calendar all the time. The Opera House and Concert Hall each seat over 2,000 people and the Center has on site restaurants; Prelude's by Barton G and Bombay Sapphire Lounge.
No outside food or drinks are allowed into the theater. Note that cell phones are not allowed to be used during performances, and photography or any type of recording is strictly prohibited.





The Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts is located on 1300 Biscayne Blvd in the Omni district of downtown Miami. The center is easily accessible using public transportation. Take the Metrorail to Government Center and transfer to the Omni Loop Metromover going toward the Performing Arts Center Station. If you want to take the bus, the following lines serve the Omni bus terminal: 3, 16, 32, 36, 48, 62, 95, A, C, K, M, S, T, Biscayne MAX and Flagler MAX. If you're driving from North, Take I-95 South to the I-395 East/Miami Beach Exit, and get off at exit 2B (Biscayne Blvd./N.E. 2nd Ave.) and continue to Biscayne Blvd. If you're driving from South, take US 1 to I-95 North and exit at 2D, toward exit 2B, and continue straight to the 2nd stoplight on Biscayne Blvd.

Groups of 15+ receive a 15 percent discount for the ballet, 20 percent off Broadway shows on weeknights and 10 to 15 percent off Grand Opera shows. Groups of 50+ get 20 percent off weeknight performances and 10 percent off weekend matinee Broadway performances.

The arts center was finalized and open to the public under its new structure and name 'The Carnival Center' in 2006. Two years later Adrienne Arsht donated $30 million to the center which was then named the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts.

The center is composed of three main parts; Sanford and Dolores Ziff Ballet Opera House which seats 2,400, the John S. and James L. Knight Concert Hall with 2,200 seats, and the Carnival Studio Theater which seats up to 200 people. In addition, there's also a 57,000-square-foot plaza for outdoor concerts and two on-site restaurants.
