Miami - Dade Zoological Park and Gardens - Attractions in Miami

Zoo Miami is one of Miami's prime attractions, which draws in hundreds of thousands of visitors a year. It has thousands of animals on 740 acres of land, and in its 5 miles of trails. With its fascinating animals from all over the world, tropical flora and fauna and a hundred spectacular exhibits, Zoo Miami is one the best zoos in the country, and a blast to visit. It is entirely free-range which means that all of its exhibits don't use cages, and the habitats are as close as possible to the wild animals' natural habitat.

Zoo Miami is a great place to visit year-round, but is ideal during the winter and spring months when the weather is temperate and dry. This makes it much easier to explore the zoo's exhibits and the animals. But in the summer too, there is plenty of shade and foliage to keep you cool. The park is open 365 days a year from 9:30 am to 5:30 pm. On Thanksgiving Day, it is open from 9:30 am to 3:30 pm and on Christmas day; it is open from noon until 5:30 pm.
