Coconut Grove Arts Festival


The Coconut Grove Arts Festival is one of Miami's most beloved cultural events. It is held every year in February in Miami's hip and colorful Coconut Grove neighborhood with almost a mile long of food, fun and tons of incredible artwork. For three days, the arts festival brings together hundreds of artists who come to display and sell a wide variety of art pieces in a "true celebration of the arts."

The Coconut Grove Arts Festival has been going strong for the past 49 years and is considered as one of the top outdoor arts festivals in Florida and across the country. The festival is produced by the non-profit organization, the Coconut Grove Arts and Festival Historical Association, Inc. which uses parts of the proceeds from the festival to fund educational art scholarships for students of the county of Miami Dade.

The Coconut Grove Arts Festival is very popular and draws in over 150,000 attendees every year who come to admire and buy artwork from almost 400 artists who come from across the country to showcase original art pieces. The festival is located on the main streets of the iconic Coconut Grove neighborhood between McFarlane Road and going down to South Bayshore Drive.

The Coconut Grove Arts Festival features high quality artwork from all different genres such as clay work, painting, photography, watercolor, sculpture, fiber, textiles, jewelry, metalwork, wood, digital art, 2D and 3D mixed media, drawing and many others.

The culinary arts are also celebrated at the Coconut Grove Arts Festival with many displays of delicious dishes with nationally-acclaimed and celebrity chefs, but also popular local chefs from Miami's best hotels and restaurants. Dozens of performing acts and live demonstrations are scheduled throughout the three days of the festival with various themes and cuisines that you won't want to miss.

Foodies will also enjoy the Global Food Village which is located at Myers Park at the festival, and features a wide variety of international culinary delights to satisfy any palate. There are also many pushcart vendors selling all types of easy to eat foods and snacks that can be taken along as you enjoy the incredible artwork and performances.

Visual arts and the culinary arts aren't the only attractions on display at the Coconut Grove Arts Festival. There are also many performing arts events that are scheduled throughout the festival. Check out a wide variety of theater and dance performances, but also musical shows with many types of music such as smooth jazz, Latin fusion, rock n roll and other genres by many local and international artists and soloists.

In order to attend the Coconut Grove Arts Festival, tickets can be purchased online choosing one-day and multi-day passes. Tickets costs $10 per day and residents of the Coconut Grove neighborhood with the zip code of 33133 get the reduced entry fare of $5 to the festival. Children under 12 get into the festival for free.
